Why Families Choose Empower Wellness

Dr. Knowlton is one of the few chiropractors in the Coastal Bend with advanced post-doctoral pediatric and perinatal credentials, including the elite CACCP Certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

We specialize exclusively in:

  • Perinatal chiropractic care

  • Infant and pediatric chiropractic

  • Family wellness with an emphasis on mothers + babies

Our approach is gentle, evidence-informed, and tailored to the unique needs of infants, children, and expecting mothers. Families often share that care with us helps their little ones feed more comfortably, sleep more soundly, and handle daily challenges with greater ease.

We support the nervous system through musculoskeletal, myofascial, and craniosacral techniques so the body can do what it’s designed to do adapt, grow, and thrive.

Perinatal Chiropractic Care

Pregnancy and post-partum place new demands on the spine, pelvis, and surrounding musculature. Our perinatal chiropractic care uses gentle, specific techniques to help keep your body functioning well throughout each stage of pregnancy + beyond.

Dr. Knowlton is certified in the Webster Technique, a specialized approach used to support pelvic balance and reduce tension in pregnancy-related ligaments and musculature. Many expecting mothers report improvements in mobility, comfort, sleep, and overall well-being as their body adapts to the physical changes of pregnancy.

All adjustments are performed using pregnancy-safe positioning and equipment, and your care plan is tailored to your individual needs.

Pediatric Chiropractic

Adjustments for infants and children are extremely gentle—often using no more pressure than you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato.

Parents often choose pediatric chiropractic care to support the spine and nervous system as their babies grow, especially after birth, as even the most optimal birth may have placed stress on the neck, shoulders, or spine.

Many parents notice changes such as:

  • easier feeding or more comfortable latch

  • better settling or improved sleep rhythms

  • less tension in their child's body

  • calmer behavior during diapering, tummy time, or car seat use

Dr. Knowlton D.C. holds advanced post-doctoral pediatric training through the ICPA and the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP), ensuring your child receives specialized, age-appropriate care.
